Complete Streets
Core Services
The Complete Streets Division builds, operates and maintains the roadways in the City including signals, streetlights, roadway markings, pavement, sidewalks, bridges and roadway drainage infrastructure.
- Plowing and sweeping streets
- Repair and maintain asphalt, concrete and roadway drainage infrastructure
- Traffic signal repairs, timing and installation
- Streetlight repairs
- Planning and construction of capital projects for roadways and trails
- Enforement of sidewalk conditions and trees in the parkway

The Facilities Management Division (FMD) is responsible for the full lifecycle of City-owned buildings and properties—from planning and construction to daily operations and long-term maintenance.
- Routine and seasonal maintenance of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Small to mid-scale facility repairs and improvements
- Office reconfigurations and workspace modifications
- Daily custodial service and seasonal deep cleaning
- Support for new facility buildouts and capital projects
FMD also manages operational oversight of two key City assets: the Santa Fe Railyard and Midtown Santa Fe properties, ensuring safety, access, and functionality across these high-profile public spaces.

Core Services
Efficiently and effectively managing, planning, operating, and maintaining the City of Santa Fe’s parking operations while providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
Parking physical assets include:
- Three parking garages (Railyard, Sandoval, Convention Center)
- Six parking lots (Water Street, Railyard Lots)
- 1100 on-street parking meters
- Approximately 15 pay stations located in lots and on the street

Parks & Open Space
Core Services
The Parks and Open Space Division manages the City’s public parks, trails, medians, open spaces, and recreational landscapes.
Our mission is to steward and enhance public space to promote health, wellness, sustainability, and quality of life for the community.
Services Include:
- Maintenance of City parks, medians, and open space areas
- Tree care, weed control, and vegetation management
- Graffiti removal and abatement services
- Park safety inspections and playground equipment maintenance
- Planning and construction of capital projects for park and stormwater improvements
- Support for community programming, volunteer initiatives, and special events
- Park Ranger services, including encampment removal on City-owned property
- Stormwater management and MS4 compliance reporting
Services NOT Provided
- Maintain landscaping at City facilities with exception of City Hall
- Shoveling sidewalks at City facilities with exception of City Hall
- Roadside tree maintenance except at City facilities

Core Services
Santa Fe Trails Transit provides public transportation services in the City of Santa Fe. We operate fixed-route buses, the Santa Fe Pick-Up shuttles, and Santa Fe Ride paratransit and senior services. Our mission is to support City mobility, sustainability, and equity goals through safe, reliable, and accessible transit operations.
Transit is also a partner to internal City departments with service coordination for special events, homeless housing facilities, and citywide transportation planning.
Services Include:
- Special event shuttle planning and coordination
- Bus stop improvements and relocation
- Rider alerts and transit-related communications
- Transit support for City department events and programs (ex. Nation Night Out)
- Scheduling transportation for unhoused individuals to housing facilities
- Transit assistance for City staff transportation across multi-transit agencies
- Reporting Transit Fleet and infrastructure maintenance
- CDL training of employees in all City departments

Whether you’re requesting support for a city event, coordinating on a capital project, or require cross agency transportation (ex. NCRTD, Park and Ride, and Rail Runner) connectivity, our team is here to help.
Send email or Teams chat to administrative support or Division Directors and include: date, need, Division, point of contact, and timeline.
Response Time: A team member will follow up within 1–2 business days.
Important Notes:
- Shuttle service or special request must be made at least 10 Business days in advance.
- All event-related shuttle services must have funding org and object provided in advance.
- Include Transit early in planning for public events and right-of-way closures.
